Lokenath Paper Tube

We’ve been out here in Village Bahirtafa for a while now. It’s a quiet place mostly, out in Jadurberia. Lokenath Paper Tube is basically just us making these tubes all day. The machines are old but they still work okay. Some days it gets pretty hot in the shed, especially in the afternoons. We spend a lot of time just moving rolls of paper around and making sure the glue is right. It isn’t fancy work, but it fills the day. People from around the area know where we are, even if there isn’t a big sign or anything. We usually start early before the sun gets too high. There’s always a bit of dust from the paper cutting, so we keep the doors open for the breeze. Sometimes the truck comes late to pick things up, and we just sit around and wait. It’s just how it goes here. We don’t really do much else besides the tubes. It’s what we know how to do. The village is small, so everyone kind of knows what’s going on at the workshop. We just keep the machines running and try to get the orders done on time. It’s mostly just hard work and making sure the tubes don't get damp when it rains. The roof leaks a bit in the corner, but we moved the stock away from there. It’s just a normal day for us here in the village.
