Laxmi Gold

Laxmi Gold is our little shop over in Dhulagori, right in the area of the Sankrail police station. We have been working with jewelry and gold for a long time, and our daily routine is pretty much the same every week. We spend a lot of time sitting at the benches, looking closely at small pieces and making sure everything is shaped right. It’s a bit of a quiet trade, but you need a steady hand for it. The shop isn't very big, but we have enough space for the safe and a few display cases for the neighbors to look at. People from around the village come to us when they have a wedding or a special event, or sometimes if they just need a small repair on a chain that broke. We don't have a big marketing team; we just let the work speak for itself when someone walks out with something they like. Dhulagori can be a busy place, but once you step inside the shop, it’s mostly just the sound of small hammers or the filing of metal. We keep our prices as fair as we can because we know everyone in the community. It’s a traditional way of doing things, and we haven't seen a reason to change it. My family has been involved in this kind of work, and we just carry it on here in Sankrail. It’s steady, honest work that we do every day without much noise.
