Maruti Aquatics

Maruti Aquatics is tucked away on Nandalal Mukherjee Lane, right over by the Chatterjeehat Police Station. If you’re looking for 1/9, that’s us, right at Kanta Villa. It’s a bit of a narrow lane, but we’ve been here for a bit. Usually, there’s some water on the floor and the sound of filters running in the back. It’s what you expect from a place like this. We handle a lot of different fish and tanks. It gets crowded on weekends when people from around the neighborhood stop in to see what’s new in the tanks. We aren't a big corporate chain or anything. It’s just a local spot where we look after the fish and help people find what they need for their home setups. Sometimes the glass gets smudged and we have to wipe it down constantly. It’s honest work. The shop is small, so you have to watch your step around the buckets. We’ve known the neighbors around Chatterjeehat for years now. Most people find us just by walking past Kanta Villa on their way somewhere else. It’s quiet enough on the lane except for when the deliveries arrive. We don’t have any big fancy signs, just the name on the front. If you are around Nandalal Mukherjee Lane, you can’t really miss the sound of the pumps. We just keep things simple and keep the water clean.
