Kakali Basu

Kakali Basu operates out of 178/2/1/Mb Road in Howrah. This side of the river is always a bit different from the main city of Kolkata. MB Road can be quite a struggle when the traffic gets bad, especially during the monsoon when the rain makes everything a bit slower. Our building is a plain one, right on the road. We have a small space here where we manage everything. It’s not some big polished office with central air conditioning. We mostly rely on a couple of ceiling fans that have been humming for years. The walls have a few marks here and there, and the furniture is just what we could find that was sturdy enough. We spend the day dealing with our local clients and keeping track of the paperwork. It’s a lot of manual work and checking things twice. We don't have any big slogans or pages that sound like they were written by a computer. It is just us, sitting here on MB Road, getting through the work. Sometimes we go out to the small stall nearby to get some fried snacks and tea when we need a break. The location is convenient for people living on this side of Howrah. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It is just a regular place where we show up and do our jobs every day without any drama or flashiness.
