People around Howrah probably know where we are if they ever head down Kona Road. We’re tucked into the Sastitala area, right near the P.O-Santragachi. It’s not the quietest part of town, especially with all the trucks moving through, but it’s where we’ve been set up for a long time now. The building is just a regular structure, nothing that would catch your eye from the street. Inside, it’s mostly just us sitting at desks, handling the paperwork and making sure things are moving along. The humid weather here in West Bengal can be a bit much in the summer, so we keep the fans on high and just get through the day. Sometimes the mail takes a bit longer to get to the post office if the traffic is bad near the station. We don’t really do anything fancy here, just the daily grind of running the business and talking to people who stop by. Most of the staff live nearby, so we’ve known each other for years. It’s a local operation through and through. You won’t find any marble lobbies or glass elevators here. Just some old files, a few computers that have seen better days, and a lot of work to be done. We stay busy enough that the clock usually catches us by surprise at the end of the shift. It’s just how things are at Jindal India Ltd in this corner of Howrah.
