Jahiruddin General Stores

We've been here at Jahiruddin General Stores in Nalpur for a good while now. Our shop sits right on Nalpur Station Road in Manoharpur, so it gets pretty busy when the trains come in. It’s just a regular place where people from around Howrah stop by to grab things they need for the house. We keep a bit of everything on the shelves, mostly stuff people use every day. If you live nearby or just pass through the station, you probably know where we are. The shop isn't fancy or anything, but we try to keep it organized so folks can find their tea, soap, or whatever else they're looking for without much trouble. Sometimes the morning rush gets a bit hectic when everyone is heading to work, but that’s just how it is around here in WB. We see a lot of the same faces every day, which is nice because you get to know people. We open up early and stay open until late evening. If the weather is bad, the road gets a bit muddy, but we’re usually here behind the counter. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so there’s always someone around to help out if you can’t reach something on a high shelf. We don’t do anything fancy with advertising, people just find us because we’re right there by the road. Just a simple general store doing what we can for the neighborhood.
