J J Automotive Ltd Howrah is down at 103/23, Foreshore Rd near the Baisnabpara Bazar. Being so close to the bazar means there is always something going on. The traffic on Foreshore Road can be a real headache some days, especially when the market is in full swing. We have been operating out of this building for a long time. It’s an old-school kind of place, with a lot of history in the walls. We handle a lot of automotive stuff, mostly parts and general repairs that people bring in. The shop floor is usually a bit greasy, which is expected in this line of work. We don't really bother with fancy uniforms or anything like that. Everyone just wears what they don't mind getting dirty. The light inside isn’t the best, so we use a lot of floor lamps when we’re working on engines or chassis. You can hear the horns from the street all day long while we work. It’s a bit of a maze with all the shelves and boxes of spares we’ve got piled up. Customers usually find us by word of mouth or because they’ve been coming to this bazar for years. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in Howrah, just a reliable spot where you can get your car looked at without any fuss. It's a busy, noisy life, but we like being right in the middle of it.
