Kps Instrument Industries is based in Sealdanga, specifically near Kalitala on Ichapur Road. It’s a busy little corner of the world here in Santragachi. We deal with instruments, which means a lot of small parts and careful work. Our shop isn't anything fancy to look at. It’s just a room filled with benches, bright lights, and various tools we’ve gathered over the years. I’ve always liked fiddling with things, so this job suits me. We get a lot of local orders from other small businesses in the area. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know the trade. Sometimes we have to hunt for a specific part for a while, but we usually find a way to get it. The neighborhood is loud with the sound of traffic and other workshops, but we’re used to it by now. We don't spend money on big ads or glossy brochures. We think if we do a decent job, people will come back. That’s how it’s worked for us so far. We’re just regular people working a regular job. If you come by the P.O. Santragachi area, you might see us through the open door. We’re usually there from early morning until the evening, just keeping the instruments in order. It’s tedious work sometimes, but seeing things work again makes it worth it for the guys here. We just try to be fair and keep the workbench organized.
