Homeo Sevasadan

Homeo Sevasadan is located in the Ranihati Puratan Bazar area of Howrah. We are right on the Amta Ranihati Road, which is a fairly busy stretch of road. The bazaar has been here forever, and we are tucked in among all the other shops selling vegetables and clothes. It’s an old-fashioned kind of place, and we like it that way. We deal with homeopathy, so the clinic is full of those tiny white pills and small glass bottles. It smells a bit like alcohol and herbs inside. Most of our visitors are people from the nearby villages or regulars from the market who have been coming to us for years. We don't do any flashy advertising or anything. People come in because they trust the old ways. The road outside is always full of cycles and vans, and you can hear the market vendors calling out. We spend our days talking to people about their aches and pains and mixing up the remedies they need. It’s a slow kind of work, not like the big city hospitals. We have a couple of wooden chairs for people to sit on while they wait. The fan keeps the air moving, but it’s still quite warm in the afternoons, especially during the rainy season when it gets humid. We close up when the bazaar starts to wind down in the evening. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living in Howrah, and we’ve been part of this community for a long time.
