Hindustan Construction Company Ltd.

Down here in Vill-Ghosalchak, things move a bit slower than in the city. We are located in the Uluberia area of Howrah, tucked away near Belkulai. Hindustan Construction Company Ltd. has a small presence here to handle the local work. Most of the guys on the team live right in the village or just a short cycle ride away. It’s a humid place, especially in the summer, and that really affects how we work on the construction sites. We have to start early before the sun gets too high. Our office is just a simple setup, nothing like what you see in Kolkata. We deal with a lot of local materials and try to keep things moving despite the occasional transport issues on the narrow roads. You can find us near the police station area if you’re looking for the office. We do a lot of small-scale infrastructure stuff that helps the local community. It’s not glamorous work. There’s a lot of mud, heavy lifting, and trying to keep the machines running. We don't have a website or a fancy logo on our shirts. People around here just know us by name. If a neighbor needs something built, they just walk over and talk to us. We’ve been part of this district for a long time, and we plan on staying. It’s just how life is here, working hard and dealing with the elements every day.
