Gammon India Limited

We are over at 24/1, D.S. Lane, Block U-10 in Howrah. If you know West Bengal, you know how busy and crowded Howrah can be. The Gammon India Limited office is right in the middle of all that noise and energy. It is an old-style office with big wooden desks and a lot of papers everywhere. We do heavy engineering and construction, especially bridges. Since there are so many rivers around here, we always have work to do. The office can get quite hot and humid, especially in the summer months. We don't have any fancy air conditioning in most rooms, just the old ceiling fans that have been there forever. We don't use marketing talk or any of those big corporate words. We just talk about the work. Our staff has been with us for a long time, so we are more like a family than anything else. We drink a lot of tea and eat local snacks while we look over the latest site reports. Sometimes the monsoon makes everything difficult, but we find a way to keep the projects moving. We aren't interested in looking polished or professional in a corporate way. We just want to make sure the bridges we build stay up for people to use. It is a lot of responsibility, but we have been doing it for a long time.
