Down in Howrah, we have our place on Joy Narayan Babu Ananda Dutta Lane. It is a very long name for a street, but that is exactly where you will find Emas Expressway. We focus on getting things moving along the roads. Howrah is always a busy place, especially with all the transport work going on around this side of the river. The office is just a basic room with what we need to operate. It can get a bit loud outside with the traffic and all the local shops nearby. We spend most of our time on the phone or checking the logs to see where things are. It is not a glamorous job, but it is what we know how to do. The lane is quite narrow, so parking is always a headache for anyone visiting. We usually just walk from the main road ourselves. We have known the neighbors for years. Sometimes we share a snack or some tea in the afternoon when things finally slow down a bit. Moving goods takes a lot of patience. You have to deal with delays and bad weather all the time. We just try to keep everything on track. There are not any fancy carpets or glass walls here. Just desks, some old fans, and our record books. It is a local business through and through. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. It keeps us busy and we like the routine of it all. We stay here because it works.
