Our place is right here in Mandirpara, near Jagacha in Howrah. We use the old house that belonged to the late Santi Ranjan Banerjee. It’s a quiet spot, really. Mostly we just get on with our daily tasks and see who comes through the door. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. Just some desks and chairs in a village setting. Being in West Bengal, the humidity can get to you in the summer, but we manage. People know where to find us if they need anything. We’ve been around this part of Howrah for a bit now. We don't have a big sign outside or a glass front. It's just a regular building where work gets done. Sometimes the neighbors stop by to chat. We handle things as they come. There’s a rhythm to the day here that stays the same. You walk past the temple, and you’re basically there. We don't spend much time worrying about how the office looks. As long as the paperwork is straight and the jobs get finished, everyone is happy. It’s just how things are done in this corner of the district. We keep it simple. No one here wears a suit unless they really have to for a meeting in the city. Mostly it’s just us working through the pile of stuff on our desks and making sure the local projects stay on track. It works for us. We just keep our heads down and get through the week.
