Dr. Utpal Roy Clinic

Our clinic is at 51 Bhairab Dutta Lane in Salkia, which is a busy part of Howrah. If you are familiar with the lanes around here, you know they can be quite narrow and full of life. Dr. Utpal Roy has been seeing patients at this spot for quite a while now. It’s a simple medical clinic where people from the neighborhood come when they aren’t feeling well. We deal with everything from fevers and coughs to more general health checks. The building is older, like much of the architecture in Salkia, but we keep the inside tidy for the patients. There isn't a lot of room for a big waiting area, so people often end up chatting with each other while they wait for their turn. It feels like a small community space sometimes. We don’t use any fancy digital booking systems; we just write things down and take people as they come or based on when they called. Dr. Roy is usually in his room with the door closed, talking to whoever is next. The street noise outside is just part of the background here. Sometimes it’s hard for cars to get right to the door, so walking in from the main road is usually easier. It’s just a local place where we try to help out the folks living nearby with their daily health needs. We aren't a big hospital, just a neighborhood clinic that has been part of the lane for many years now.
