Das Industries. Pvt. Ltd.

Our place, Das Industries. Pvt. Ltd., is out in Bipprana Para, which is a village area in Howrah. If you are coming from the main part of Domjur, you have to follow the narrow roads past the fields. It is a lot quieter here than in the city, but we still keep very busy. The office is right there in the village, so we know most of the people living around us. Some mornings you can see the mist over the ponds before the sun gets too hot. We have a small team and most of us grew up nearby. There isn't any big corporate sign, just a simple gate. The building is practical, mostly for storage and some production work. We spend our days checking on the machines or talking to the suppliers who drive down the bumpy roads to find us. Sometimes the power goes out, so we have to wait a bit or use the generator. It's not a fast-paced life like in Kolkata, but there is always something to fix or move. We eat lunch together and usually talk about local things or the weather. It is a bit dusty when the wind picks up, but it feels like home. We don't have fancy carpets or glass walls. It’s just bricks, concrete, and people working hard to make things move along. The rainy season makes the roads muddy, but we manage.
