CRAFTLIPI

CRAFTLIPI is based out of PENCIL BHAVAN in Uttar Maju. It’s in the Maju area of Jagatballavpur, which is a bit quieter than the big cities. We like it that way. Most of us here grew up in the surrounding villages, so we know the area pretty well. The building itself is a simple structure where we do all our work. We don't have any fancy offices or meeting rooms. Most of the space is for the materials we use and the things we make. It’s a hands-on kind of place. You’ll often find us sitting together, working on a project and talking about the day. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation. We just want to make things that people find useful or nice to look at. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to get work done, especially during the heavy rains, but we find ways to keep going. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. It’s just crafting and assembly, mostly. People from the village often stop by to see what’s new or just to say hello. It feels more like a community workshop than a factory. We’ve been here for a while and don't plan on moving anytime soon. It’s a good spot for us, and the pace of life here suits the way we work. We just take things one day at a time.
