Chitra Electricals

Chitra Electricals is based at 52/7 Makardah Road. It’s a busy road, so there’s always something going on outside our door. We handle all sorts of electrical components and supplies here. The shop isn't very large, but we pack a lot into the shelves. It can be a bit of a maze sometimes if you aren't used to it. We’ve had this spot for quite a while now, and most of the electricians in the area know us by name. We aren't big on formalities. If you come in, we’ll just have a chat and see what part you’re looking for. Sometimes we have to order things in, but we try to keep the basics in stock. The lighting inside isn't the best, which is funny for an electrical shop, but we’re more focused on the inventory than the decor. It’s a family-run kind of feel even if we aren't all related. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the jobs we’re working on. Makardah Road has changed quite a bit over the years, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. We don't have a website that does much; we prefer it when people just stop by. It feels more real that way. We’re just here from morning till evening, doing our bit with wires and switches. We hope to stay here for many more years to come.
