Chatterjee Trading Co.

We run Chatterjee Trading Co. out of Salkia. Specifically, we are at 14/1/2 Kalu Para Lane. It is a quiet enough spot compared to the main roads. We have been here in this lane for quite a while now. The building is just a standard place where we keep all our trade items. Most of the day is spent checking ledgers or talking on the phone with various suppliers. It is a family-run kind of thing. We don't have a big marketing budget or a website that does much. People just know where we are. Salkia is a place where everyone kind of knows everyone else. You walk down Kalu Para Lane and you see the same faces every morning. We deal with various goods, whatever is in demand or what we can get a good handle on. The office inside is small and has a lot of old paperwork stacked up on the wooden desks. We probably should organize it better, but we always know where everything is. It is a simple setup. We come in early, have some chai, and start looking at the day's tasks. There isn't much more to it than that. We just try to keep things moving. Sometimes a shipment is late or a customer has a lot of questions, and that takes up the whole afternoon. We like being in this part of town. It feels like home to us after all these years at this address. It is just our daily life here.
