About Building Planner And Interior Designer – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Howrah
I’ve been working as a Building Planner and Interior Designer out of Udaynarayan for some time. It’s more of a personal setup than a big firm. My workspace is usually covered in blueprints, sketches, and various samples of flooring or fabric. I don’t have a big staff, so if you call, you’re usually talking to me directly. I spend a lot of my time traveling between the office and different sites, so the place is often empty for half the day. Udaynarayan is where I grew up, so I know the houses and the style of the buildings around here pretty well. I don’t use those fancy computer programs for everything; I still like to draw things out by hand when I can. It feels more real that way. People come to me when they want to change their kitchen or add a room, and we just sit down and talk about what’s possible. I’m not into those high-end glossy magazines. I just want to make a space look decent and work for the people living there. It’s a lot of measuring and re-measuring, and sometimes I get the numbers wrong and have to start over. That’s just part of the process. It’s a small-scale business, and I like keeping it that way because I can actually focus on the work instead of managing people. I usually have a cup of coffee sitting somewhere amongst my drawing papers.
