Bondhu Welfare Association

Bondhu Welfare Association is located at 39 Kashipur Road over in Dasnagar, Howrah. We’ve been in this building for a while, and it’s a typical Howrah neighborhood with lots of workshops and small businesses around. The pincode is 711105 if you’re trying to mail us something, though the local postman knows us pretty well by now. Our office isn't anything fancy. It’s just a couple of rooms where we meet up and keep our things. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet because we’re usually too busy with other stuff. It’s a bit of a walk from the main Dasnagar crossing, but not too bad. We have a few old wooden chairs for visitors and a big table where we do all our planning. It gets pretty loud with the traffic on Kashipur Road, but that’s just life in Howrah. We aren’t a big corporation with branches everywhere. We are just here in this one spot, doing what we can for the people around us. Most of the folks who work here live nearby, so we walk or take a rickshaw to get in. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the wall. We just show up every morning and try to be helpful to whoever walks through the door.
