If you walk inside, you’ll notice the shelves lined with small glass bottles and the faint smell of the supplies we use. It’s a quiet sort of place compared to the busy Andul Road outside. The traffic can be quite heavy at times, especially with the trucks and buses, but once you’re inside, things slow down a bit. We have a few old wooden chairs for people to sit on while they wait their turn. It’s not a modern, sleek office by any means. The floors are a bit worn and the paint might be peeling in a corner or two, but that’s just the character of an old Howrah building. Most of our visitors are people from the surrounding neighborhoods who have been coming here for years. We don't really use computers for much; a lot of things are still written down in ledgers or on small slips of paper. It’s a very traditional way of doing things, and it works for us. We spend our days preparing what’s needed and talking to the people who stop by. It’s just a steady, calm routine in the middle of Andul. We aren't trying to be anything big or corporate, just a local clinic on a busy road.
