Our workplace is in E Block, Line No. 5, specifically in Room No. 512 at Fortgloster in Bauria. It’s a bit of a walk to get to our room but we like being part of the old industrial area. Fortgloster has a lot of history and you can feel it in the buildings. We handle import and export tasks which means we deal with a lot of paperwork and customs forms. Our desks are usually piled high with documents and stamps. It can be a bit messy but we know where everything is. Bauria is a place where people work hard and we try to do the same. Being in Room 512 means we have a bit of a view of the surrounding blocks. We have a small fan that works overtime in the summer months. Most of our work is done through emails and phone calls to people far away, but we are very much grounded in this local office. We don't have any fancy lounge or a break room. We just eat our tiffin at our desks and keep on with the day’s tasks. Sometimes we have to go down to the docks or the warehouse to check on things. It's a lot of coordination and making sure the numbers match up. We’ve been at this for a while and we have a routine that works for us. It isn't glamorous but it is the life we know.
