Bardhan Bakers Llp is tucked away at 6 Tarapada Chatterjee Lane. We are up on the second floor in Flat 202. It is a residential sort of area, so it does not feel like a big cold office building. We do our work from here, focusing on the baking business. It is a small operation. We do not have a massive factory or anything like that on-site. It is more about the planning and the management side of the bakery stuff. The lane can be a bit narrow, but it is a familiar spot for us. Being on the second floor gives us a bit of a view of the street below. We spend our hours talking to suppliers and making sure the flour and sugar are where they need to be. It is not glamorous work. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we take the stairs. That is just life in an ordinary building. We are a small group of people trying to keep the business running smoothly. We have got desks, a couple of computers, and lots of notes lying around. Baking is a tough business with early mornings and tight schedules, even on the management side. We just keep our heads down and do the work from our flat here in the lane. It is simple and it works for us.
