Balaji Ice Cream

Our place is right in Bagnan, pretty much a stone's throw from the Hari Basar Temple. Most people around here know the Balaji Ice Cream Building because we have been here for a long time now. It is a busy spot, especially when there is a festival going on at the temple and the whole street fills up with folks. Being in Howrah, the humidity can really get to you, so we spend most of our time making sure everything stays frozen solid in the back. It is a bit of a constant battle with the heat, honestly. The building itself is just where we do everything, from taking deliveries to keeping the machines running. It is not always the quietest place to be. We have neighbors who have lived here as long as we have and we all kind of look out for each other. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time navigating the narrow bits of the road near the temple, but we manage somehow. I usually start the day very early, checking the temperature gauges before the sun gets too high. It is just me and a couple of others keeping the wheels turning. We do not have any big plans or anything, we just want to make sure the local shops get their orders on time. It is a lot of lifting and moving crates around. If you are ever walking toward the temple, you will see our sign.
