Vegflo Exports is based at No. 3-C Sembadavar Street, right near Weaver Street. It’s a busy part of town and there’s always something going on outside our doors. We mostly deal with vegetables and fresh produce that needs to go abroad. Our mornings are pretty hectic, with people bringing in sacks and crates of stuff from the farms. It’s not a clean, quiet office. There’s usually dirt on the floor and the smell of onions or whatever else is in season. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the greens and making sure everything is packed tight so it doesn't spoil. The building is old, and the stairs are a bit steep, but it works for us. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy lobby. We just want to make sure the farmers get a fair shake and the buyers get their food on time. Sometimes the trucks are late because of traffic, and we have to stay late to get everything sorted. It’s honest work, even if it’s tiring. We’ve been on Sembadavar Street for quite some time now, and we know most of the people around here. We just keep our heads down and keep the produce moving as best as we can every single day. The crates are heavy and the days are long, but we like the pace of it.
