Our workshop is over by the Andhivadi Check Post, near the HCF Post. The address is 8-5/2 if you’re looking for it. It’s a bit out of the main city center, which we actually prefer because it gives us more room to breathe and move heavy materials around. We do engineering work, mostly the practical kind where you’re getting your hands dirty and using tools. The shop isn't shiny or new, but it has everything we need to get through the daily pile of tasks. We started out small and we’ve stayed that way, mostly because it’s easier to manage things ourselves without too much fuss. There’s always a bit of noise from the machines, and the air usually smells like metal and oil. It’s not for everyone, but we’re used to it. The team is just a few guys who know their way around a lathe and a welding torch. We don't put much stock in fancy titles or big offices. If someone needs something built or fixed, they come by the check post and find us. The location is handy for trucks coming through, so that helps with our logistics. We just take one job at a time and try to finish it properly before moving to the next. It's a simple way of running things, but it has worked for us. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we're looking at a design or checking an invoice.
