You can find Jm Leathers at 6th Cross in Surya Nagar, which is part of the Mookandapalli Post area. It’s a bit away from the main hustle and bustle, which we actually prefer because it lets us focus on our work without too many distractions. We work with leather here, so the workshop always has that distinct, earthy smell that comes with the trade. It’s a very practical space. We have large tables for cutting and stitching, and various tools hanging on the walls. It isn't a place for people who want a polished showroom experience. Our floors sometimes have scraps of leather or thread on them, but that’s just a sign that we are actually making things. We are a small group and we’ve spent years learning the best ways to handle the materials. We don't have any fancy slogans or big promises. We just make the products and let them speak for themselves. Most of our customers are people who value things that are built to last. The street outside is lined with trees and it’s usually pretty quiet, except for the occasional delivery truck. We like the pace of life here. We start our day with a quick meeting to see what needs to be finished, and then we just get to it. We don't spend much time on the computer or phone. Most of our time is spent with our hands on the material. It’s a good, honest way to make a living and we’re happy with it.
