Our workshop is tucked away at Plot No. 32 in the New Sidco Industrial Area. If you know this part of town, you know it’s mostly just factories and warehouses one after the other. We’ve been operating from here, making different types of seals for a good while. The machines we use are a bit older, but they do the job just fine for what we need. A typical morning starts with checking the inventory and making sure we have enough raw material for the day’s production run. It gets quite noisy once the presses start up, and you often have to shout a bit to be heard over the hum. We aren't a massive corporation with a glass building. It’s just a practical space where we focus on the production line and getting the counts right. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time finding the plot because the roads around here can be a bit messy, especially when it rains and the potholes fill up. We spend a lot of time checking the rubber and metal parts to make sure they aren't faulty before they go into boxes. Nobody here wears a suit. We’re usually in work clothes that end up with black grease stains by noon. It's steady work, and we have a small crew that has been together for many years. We just try to keep things organized and make sure the orders are ready when they’re supposed to be.
