Jai Ambe Traders

We set up Jai Ambe Traders here at 58 Pannandur Road in Thatrahalli. It’s a straight road, so we aren’t hard to miss. We deal in a bit of everything, mostly wholesale items that the smaller shops in the surrounding villages need. The warehouse is a bit of a mess sometimes, especially when a big shipment arrives. I spend a lot of my day on the phone talking to suppliers or checking the inventory lists. It’s just me and a couple of local guys helping with the heavy lifting. We’ve been at this location for about six years. The roof leaks a tiny bit when the monsoon hits hard, so we have to move the bags around. Thatrahalli is a small place, so news travels fast. If we have a good price on something, everyone knows by noon. We don’t have a website or any social media. People just call my mobile or stop by the office. It’s a dusty job, and there’s always something to be unloaded. The trucks come and go all day long. Sometimes we sit outside on plastic chairs to have tea when it’s quiet. We aren't trying to build an empire or anything. We just want to keep the business moving and make sure the orders are right. It’s a practical way to earn a living. We’re just regular people working hard on Pannandur Road every day except Sundays.
