Allied Hoses And Spares is tucked into the Reddy Complex at No. 13/14 on College Road. It’s a good location, though it can get pretty crowded during the morning and afternoon when everyone is heading to work or school. Our shop is filled with all kinds of hoses, fittings, and various spare parts that people need for their equipment. We’ve got them hanging from the walls and tucked into bins under the counters. It’s a bit of a maze if you don't know your way around, but we know exactly where everything sits. We’ve been running this place for a good number of years now, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. People come in with broken parts, and we spend time looking through our stock to see if we can find a match. It’s a lot of manual checking and measuring. We don't have a computerized system that does everything for us, so we rely on what we know. The counter is usually covered in catalogs and little scraps of paper with measurements written on them. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for the folks around here. We like the regular customers who stop by just to say hello even when they don't need to buy anything. It makes the day go by a little faster.
