Swami Sarvanand Giri Punjab University Regional Centre

Swami Sarvanand Giri Punjab University Regional Centre is situated out in Hoshiarpur. Specifically, we are in Village-Bajwara. It is a bit of a trek if you are coming from the main city, but it is a nice area once you get here. The college campus is part of the regional centre setup. It feels more like a village atmosphere than a city one, which is actually quite nice for a change. The address is 146001 for anyone looking it up on a map. We have been part of the Punjab University system for a long time. The buildings are solid and have that old school look to them. You see students walking around between the different blocks all day. Bajwara is a quiet place mostly, not like the big bustling markets you find elsewhere. Sometimes the internet can be a bit spotty because we are a little further out, but we manage. There are trees around the campus which help keep it a bit cooler when the sun is out. We have a lot of paperwork to deal with every day since it is a regional centre. It is a lot of routine stuff, but it keeps us busy. People from all the surrounding villages come here. We don't have any fancy cafes or anything, just the usual spots where people gather to talk. It’s a simple, functional place for learning and administration. Most of the staff has been here for years and knows the place inside out.
