Part Time Faculty In Institute

Teaching at the institute takes up a good chunk of my time but I also spend a lot of my day at Vimi Villa. It is located near Dhobi Ghat in Hoshiarpur. Being a Part Time Faculty In Institute means my schedule is never really the same from one day to the next. Some mornings I am rushing to get to class and other times I am back here at Vimi Villa grading papers or getting ready for the next lecture. Hoshiarpur is a place where everyone kind of knows their way around, and Dhobi Ghat is a familiar landmark for most people living nearby. My setup is pretty simple. I don't use any big marketing tools or have a massive staff. It is just me doing the teaching work and living my life in this house. The area around Dhobi Ghat has its own rhythm and I’ve gotten used to the sounds and the people passing by. Living and working like this keeps things grounded. I try to stay organized but sometimes the books pile up in the corner of my room at the villa. It is a practical way to live, focusing on the students when I'm there and then coming back to the quiet of Hoshiarpur. People usually just drop by if they need to talk about classes or if they have questions. It’s a straightforward life and I like that I can be both a teacher and a neighbor here.
