K. P. Engineering Works

K. P. Engineering Works is tucked away on Jalandhar Road in Masrala. You have to look for us behind Clean Cast, otherwise, you might miss the turn. It’s not right on the main road, which is actually nice because it keeps the dust down a little bit. We’ve been at this location for a long time now. The workshop is full of old machines that still run better than the new ones sometimes. We spend most of our hours welding and cutting metal. It gets pretty loud, and you have to yell sometimes to be heard over the grinders. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting area. If you come by, you’ll usually find us in the back with our sleeves rolled up. The Masrala area is quiet enough, though the traffic on Jalandhar Road is always moving. We have a small crew of people who have been working together for years. We know where every tool is kept, even if the place looks a bit disorganized to an outsider. It’s just a regular engineering shop where we do practical work. We don't have big meetings or anything like that. We just look at the drawings, pick up the tools, and start working. Sometimes we stay late to finish a big order, but that’s just part of the life here. It’s honest work and we keep the doors open six days a week without much fuss.
