International Cars & Motors Limited, Hoshiarpur

Our setup for International Cars & Motors Limited, Hoshiarpur is actually located over in Vill-Mugalwala, near T-Patti in the Amritsar district. It’s a bit of a drive out here, but the space is good for what we do with the cars. The name mentions Hoshiarpur because that’s where the main roots are, but the daily work happens right here on this plot. You can hear the sound of tools and metal pretty much from the moment the sun comes up. We spend a lot of time looking at engines and body parts. The floor is usually covered in a bit of oil or grease, which is expected in a place like this. There are a few trees near the entrance where people park their bikes, and that’s about the only shade you get during the hot Punjab summers. We don't spend much money on decorations or fancy signs. The focus is always on the vehicles and making sure the parts are where they should be. Sometimes the local farmers pass by with their tractors, and it’s a noisy, lively atmosphere. Most of the guys working here are from the nearby villages, so we all know each other's families. We drink a lot of tea to stay focused while we handle the inventory and the mechanical checks. It is hard work, and the days are long, but we’ve got a good rhythm going in the workshop.
