Gagan Glass Works

Gagan Glass Works is right in the middle of Center Town, near the Khadda Market area. It is a very crowded spot, and parking anywhere nearby is a nightmare. Our shop is nestled among many others, and you can usually find us by the sound of glass being snapped or the sight of reflections dancing on the walls outside. We have all kinds of glass here, some patterned and some plain. The shop is quite narrow, so we have to be careful when we are moving long pieces around so we don't hit the ceiling fans. We have been in this part of Center Town for a long time, and the building shows its age with some cracks in the plaster. We don't mind it much. Most of our day is spent talking to people who want a quick repair or something for their new house. We use a lot of old newspapers to wrap up the smaller pieces so they don't get scratched. The floor is always a bit dusty from the market outside. We usually have a cup of tea in the afternoon while watching the shoppers go by in Khadda Market. It is a simple life, just working with our hands and making sure the glass is cut straight for whoever walks through the door. The Khadda Market gets so crowded in the evenings that you can hardly move. We like the energy of the town center even if it gets a bit overwhelming sometimes. It is home to us.
