Bassi And Bassan Education Foundation is based in Vpo Sham Chaurasi, specifically at number 75 in Ward No. 4. We are out here in Hoshiarpur, and the place is pretty quiet most of the time. We aren’t a big institution with a lot of rules and fancy uniforms. It is just a local spot where we try to help out with education. We have some desks and a few old computers, and we spend our time talking to students and their parents about what they need. Sometimes the roof leaks a little when it rains hard, and we have to move the books around to keep them dry. We aren't professional writers or marketing people, so we just tell it like it is. We started this because we saw a lot of kids in Sham Chaurasi who didn't have the right help for their studies. It gets a bit crowded in the afternoons when everyone shows up at once, and it can get quite loud with all the chatter. We don't have a big budget, so we fix things ourselves when they break. The building is just a regular house in the ward, nothing that stands out. We don’t have a lot of meetings about strategy. We just see a problem and try to find a way to fix it with what we have. It’s practical and sometimes a bit disorganized, but we are here every day.
