Patel Medico

Patel Medico is right on the Main Road, near the H O. It is a very easy place to find because the street is always packed with people and shops. We have been operating from this spot for a long time. Being on the Main Road means we get all sorts of customers, from people just passing through to the regulars who live in the back lanes. I usually start the day by opening the shutters early and doing a quick count of what we sold yesterday. The shop isn't very wide, so we have to be clever about how we stack the boxes. Everything has its place. We don’t have any fancy marketing plans or anything like that. We just sell medicines. Sometimes people come in just to ask for directions or to get a glass of water, and that’s fine. It is a very local way of doing things. The noise of the traffic is something you just stop hearing after a few weeks. We stay open through the afternoon when other shops might close for a nap because you never know when someone will need a chemist. It is a simple life of counting pills and talking to the neighbors. I like the Main Road because there is always something happening outside. We try to keep the most common medicines in stock so nobody has to wait. It is just a straightforward, honest little business.
