MPS Farms

Anandapuram is where we do all our work. We are right in Sagar, which is a nice area if you like being around a bit of green. Our farm is situated very close to the bus stand, so we hear the buses coming and going all day long. It makes it easy for workers to get here though. Farming isn't an easy life, it's mostly about waking up before the sun and checking on what's growing. We spend a lot of time out in the dirt. Some years the rain is good and everything is easy, but other times we really have to struggle with the water. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It's just us and the land. People from the town come by to see what we have. Sometimes they just want to talk about the weather or how the crops are looking this year. We keep our tools in a shed near the main gate. The fence needs fixing in a few places, but we'll get to it when the harvest is done. It’s a lot of manual labor and our hands are rarely clean. We like the quiet of the mornings before the bus stand gets noisy. Sagar has changed a lot over the years but the way we farm stays pretty much the same. We just keep at it day after day.
