Kshethrapal Sweets Shop

Our shop is located in Doddaballapur and we have been making sweets for the local people for a long time. It is a simple setup with a few glass cases to show what we made that morning. We mostly do the traditional stuff like laddu and peda. Some people stop by on their way to the temple or when they have a function at home. We start pretty early in the back room to get everything ready before the sun gets too high. It can get quite hot in there with the large milk pots boiling. We don't use any fancy machines, mostly just doing things by hand like we learned. The floor is usually a bit sticky by the end of the day, no matter how much we sweep. Sometimes the milk delivery is late and that pushes everything back, but we manage. We aren't trying to be a big chain or anything like that. We just want to make sure the sugar levels are right and the ghee smells good. Most of our customers are neighbors who have been coming here since they were kids. It is nice to see the same faces every day. We usually close up once the trays are empty or when it gets dark. There is not much more to say about it. We just keep the lights on and keep cooking.
