Ugna Construction Private Limited

We are over here in Serampore, right on N.K. Guin Lane. It’s a bit of a tight spot sometimes when the trucks try to get through, but we make it work somehow. Most days it’s just us sitting around the desk or out at a site checking on the walls and the cement. Ugna Construction Private Limited isn't a big fancy operation with hundreds of people in suits. We are just a few guys who know how to put things together. The office at Lp-40/10/1 is where we keep the papers and have our tea in the mornings. It gets quite dusty around here because of all the work going on in Hooghly. People come by to talk about building a house or just to ask how much bricks cost these days. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. You just walk in and find someone to talk to. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing and other times it's quiet enough to hear the birds outside. We’ve been at this address for a while now and the neighbors know us. It’s a lot of long hours and getting our hands dirty, but that’s just how construction goes. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we have to. Most of the real stuff happens outside under the sun. There is always noise from the street, so it never really feels empty. It’s not always easy but we stay busy enough.
