Tagyaa Garments

Tagyaa Garments is located at 42, Sukanta Sarani in Bhadrakali. We’re over in the Hooghly district, right by Hindmotor. It’s a local neighborhood and we’ve been here for quite some time now. Most of our day is spent working with fabrics and sewing machines. It’s a noisy place when everything is running, but it’s a good kind of noise. We make garments for people and try to keep things simple. We don't have a big store with bright lights. It’s more of a workshop where the real work happens. Sometimes we have piles of cloth everywhere and it looks a bit messy, but we know where everything is. People from the area stop by to see what we are making. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just rely on making things that people want to wear. It’s a small family-type feel here. Everyone knows each other's names and we all help out when a big order comes in. The humidity in West Bengal can be a bit much in the summer, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. We’ve been part of this community for a long time. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep our heads down and focus on the stitching and the patterns until the sun goes down every day. It is hard work but it is ours.
