Spencers Retail Ltd

We’ve been here in Chinsurah for a while now, tucked away near Seal Bagan in Satyapirtala. It’s a quiet enough spot most mornings, but once the sun gets higher, things start moving. Our Spencers Retail Ltd building is easy to find if you’re familiar with this part of Hooghly, right near the post office area. Some days it’s quite humid, and the staff usually takes turns grabbing tea from the stall down the road. We spend a lot of time just moving boxes around and making sure everything is where it should be on the shelves. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular shop where we try to keep things running. People from around the neighborhood come in, some just to chat for a minute while they look around. We’ve got a few regulars who have been coming since we first opened the doors. The floors need a good sweep more often than you’d think because of the dust from the street. We don’t have any big speeches to give about what we do. It’s mostly just about showing up, opening the shutters, and helping folks find what they need for their kitchens or homes. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late because of the narrow roads, and we have to wait around, but that’s just how it goes here. We just keep at it, day after day, making sure the lights are on and the place is ready for whoever walks through the door.
