Smithy Group(M/S Vikrant Forge Ltd)

We go by the name Smithy Group, though the official registration for the business is M/S Vikrant Forge Ltd. Our place is located at 1/12 Bama Charan Mukharjee Lane in Rishra. It is right in the middle of the old industrial belt in West Bengal, with the 712248 pin code. Being a forge, the work we do is quite heavy and often very loud. There is almost always the sound of metal and machines going in the background while we work. It is not a clean or quiet office environment. We have dust on the shelves and a bit of grease on the floor because that is just the nature of this business. The lane we are on can get quite crowded with big trucks and lorries moving goods in and out throughout the day. Most of the guys working here have been with us for many years and they know the machines better than anyone else. We do not go in for fancy titles or long corporate meetings. We just start early in the morning and work until the day’s quota is finished. Rishra is an old industrial town, and we feel like a natural part of that local history. The heat from the forge makes the summers pretty tough for everyone, but we are used to it by now. Visitors usually have to shout a bit to be heard over the hammer noise, but that is just part of the experience.
