Over in Sreepally, Chandannagar, you’ll find our office. We are in the Hooghly district, and the pin code is 712136. Being in West Bengal, the weather can get pretty humid, so we usually have the windows open to catch any breeze from the river nearby. This is a local branch for Simplex Infrastructures Ltd. The office is inside an older style house that was converted for work. It has character, even if the walls need a fresh coat of paint. We have a lot of paper files here because we still like to keep physical records of everything. There’s a small garden area in the front that’s a bit overgrown, but it’s nice to look at during a quick break. We spend our days coordinating with the different sites and making sure the supplies are moving. The staff is mostly local people who live nearby. We don't have a formal dress code; it’s more about being comfortable enough to get the work done in the heat. You might hear the sound of a neighbor’s radio or a dog barking while we are on a call. It’s a very relaxed, human environment. We focus on the practical side of the business, like making sure the payroll is correct or the materials arrived on time. We don't have a big corporate feel at all. It’s just a group of us in Chandannagar doing what needs to be done for Simplex every single day.
