Shree Subham Impex

Our office is located at 41/2 N.S. Road in Rishra, over in the Hooghly district. It is a busy area with a lot of history and a lot of trade going on near the river. We are an impex company, which is just a short way of saying we import and export goods. The office is usually stacked with boxes and samples of things we are moving. It isn't very organized to look at, but we know where everything is. N.S. Road is always loud with horns and people shouting, but you get used to it after a while. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking shipping manifests. It is a lot of paperwork and waiting for containers to arrive at the port. We don't have any grand vision statements. We just want to make sure the goods get from the supplier to the buyer without too many headaches. Sometimes there are delays at customs or the trucks get held up in traffic, which can be frustrating. The team here is small, just a few of us who have been working together for years. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the markets. It is a straightforward business and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. We’ve been in Rishra for a long time and we like the community here. It is just a regular job in a busy part of Bengal.
