You can find us at 214/A in Bangur Park, over in Rishra. It’s a bit quieter out here in Hooghly compared to the big city centers, but we stay plenty busy. Our office for Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd. is a local spot where we handle the day-to-day stuff for our projects in the region. It’s not a high-rise building with a glass front. It’s just a regular place where we keep our files and meet up before heading out to the sites. We have a lot of local guys working here who have lived in West Bengal their whole lives. We know the area well and we know how the weather can mess with a work schedule. Sometimes the humidity is a real pain, but we just get on with it. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone writing fancy speeches for us. We just focus on the bricks and the cement and making sure everything is level. It’s honest work and we take it one day at a time. If you drop by, you’ll probably find someone arguing over a blueprint or checking a delivery note. It’s a real working office, not a showroom. We’ve been here for a bit now and we like the neighborhood. It feels right for the kind of work we do every day without making a big fuss.
