Sanprabha Food Processing Llp is situated at 34, G.T. Road, right in the P.O. Rishra and P.S. Serampore area. If you know G.T. Road, you know it is one of the oldest and busiest stretches around here. There is a constant stream of vehicles going past our front door, from small cycles to big lorries. Being in the Rishra and Serampore area means we are part of a long history of local industry. Our building is a bit rugged, which fits the neighborhood. We spend most of our daylight hours here, processing and checking on our food items. The humidity in this part of the country can be pretty tough, especially during the monsoon months, but we have some fans going to keep the air moving. Our workspace is mostly functional. We have the processing equipment set up in the main hall and some storage space in the back. It’s a no-nonsense kind of place. Most of the guys working here have been with us since we started. We usually have a bit of a laugh during the morning tea, but once the machines are on, it’s all about the work. We don't have any shiny glass walls or fancy rugs. It’s just brick, mortar, and the sound of the road. We stay busy with the local orders and make sure the supplies are coming in on time from the distributors. There is always a layer of dust from the road that we have to wipe away.
