Our site is located in a place called Vill.+Po-Ramnarayanpur, which is a bit of a drive if you are not familiar with the Tarakeswar area. We operate as Rmc Readymix (India) Pvt. Ltd. and have been set up in this specific part of the Hooghly district for some time now. It’s a lot quieter out here than in the bigger cities, though the sound of the trucks usually keeps the place feeling alive. The local police station at Tarakeswar is the main landmark nearby. Most of the guys working here are used to the rural pace of West Bengal, even if our daily schedule is usually pretty packed from the early morning. Our pincode is 712401. We do not have any big signs or fancy glass buildings. It is just the plant and the open space we need for the heavy mixing equipment. Sometimes the rains make the ground here quite muddy, but that is just part of the deal when you work outdoors. We usually get our tea from the small shops just down the road. The neighbors in Ramnarayanpur know us as the place with the big vehicles. We try to stay out of the way and just focus on the tasks at hand. It takes a lot of coordination to keep the machines running and the drivers on time. We are just a team of ordinary people making sure everything stays on track. It is a simple life out here and we like it.
