Raunak Ceramics

Our place is over at 252 Doloipara in the Makhla area. It is a bit tucked away, but we have been here for a good while now. Being in Hooghly, the weather gets quite humid, so the shop can feel a bit stuffy in the middle of July. We keep all our ceramics stacked up in the back room. There are tiles, pots, and all sorts of clay items that we handle every day. It is not a fancy store with big lights. Mostly, it is just a practical space where we can keep the inventory and talk to the people who come in looking for stuff for their houses. The post office is nearby, which is how most people find us if they get lost. I spend a lot of time just moving boxes around and trying to keep everything from getting too dusty. Sometimes the floor gets a bit messy with pieces of straw from the packing, but we sweep it up when we can. It is a family-run kind of thing, and we don't have a big staff or anything like that.
