Rasmani Stores

Rasmani Stores is a little shop in the village of Ainya, specifically in the post area of Ainya. We are located right near the Power House, which is how most people give directions to find us. This is in the Chanditala police station area within the Hooghly district. It’s a quiet place for the most part, surrounded by the usual village sights. We open the doors early because people in Ainya start their day with the sun. We sell various things that the local people need so they don't have to travel all the way into the bigger towns. The Power House is a big landmark, so we get people stopping by who are just passing through the area. The shop is simple, with wooden shelves and a counter that has seen a lot of use over the years. We spend our time stocking the items and talking to the folks who come in for their daily shopping. Hooghly is a nice district, and Ainya feels like a tight-knit community where everyone knows everyone else. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. It’s just a regular store where we try to keep the basics in stock. When the evening comes, we sit outside for a bit before closing up. It’s a slow pace of life, and we are quite content with being a small part of it here near the Power House. It’s just how we live.
